Job Description
The Store Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the store's operations, including Production and Sales across various departments such as grocery, dairy, frozen foods, healthy living, bulk foods, gift baskets, produce, meat, seafood, floral, and food service areas like the kitchen, cafe, prepared foods, cooking school, bakery, deli, and cheese departments. The role reports to the General Manager and aims to ensure customer satisfaction, partner engagement, and achievement of company goals.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Using independent judgment to make employment-related and business decisions, including strategies related to products and departments, hiring, promotions, discipline, and partner relations.
- Managing multiple departments, overseeing merchandising, product mix, costs, and supervising partners through department managers.
- Providing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of store operations.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations regarding product safety, freshness, refrigeration, and sanitation.
- Supervising daily management of departments and merchandising activities.
- Maintaining vendor relations and communicating store expectations.
- Conducting employment interviews, performance reviews, and providing feedback to partners.
- Training and developing team members.
- Delivering exceptional customer service.
Requirements
Strong supervisory and management skills across all store departments.Long-term strategic and financial planning abilities.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (1-2 years preferred).Proficiency with inventory, food cost, scheduling, and labor reporting systems.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to innovate and champion new initiatives.Valuing diversity and handling stressful situations effectively.Strong organizational, planning, and delegation skills.Proven team development abilities.This position is a full-time leadership role aimed at maintaining the store’s reputation for quality and community engagement.
