Job Title : Functional Architect 1 Chief Cloud & Compute Engineer

Location : Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid 1 day per week in office. Candidates must live in Pennsylvania and willing to work hybrid. Local to Harrisburg strongly preferred.)

Position Overview :

The Chief Cloud & Compute Engineer will lead enterprise-level cloud and compute architecture and engineering functions. This role ensures technology alignment with the Commonwealth's IT vision and roadmap, driving best practices, operational efficiency, and high service quality across multiple agencies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the Cloud & Compute Architecture and Engineering Team and align strategy with CIO / CTO vision.
• Oversee enterprise-wide cloud and compute operations , ensuring high performance and SLA adherence.
• Develop and track KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics for service delivery.
• Drive ITSM process adoption and continuous improvement (Incident, Change, Knowledge, Service Catalog).
• Implement disaster recovery , business continuity, and security standards for critical infrastructure.
• Manage hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and ensure compliance with governance frameworks.
• Provide strategic input on technology trends, infrastructure design, and modernization initiatives.
• Support planning, evaluation, and reporting for Enterprise Technology Services operations.
