Field Service Technician

Position Summary

A Field Service Technician for our Savannah branch provides service and repair for large-capacity forklifts and heavy material handling equipment at customer facilities. This role requires strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently in the field, and a commitment to delivering safe, reliable repairs that keep customer operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair large-capacity forklifts and heavy industrial lift trucks (diesel, LPG, and electric)
• Perform planned maintenance, safety inspections, and emergency repairs
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and equipment status
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory in a professional manner
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience repairing large forklifts or heavy material handling equipment preferred
• Experience working with multiple brands of high-capacity lift trucks preferred
• Strong mechanical, electrical, diesel, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments
