We are hiring an experienced and results-driven Lead Electrician / Foreman to supervise field crews, ensure code-compliant work, mentor technicians, and drive the on-time and profitable completion of commercial electrical projects. This role requires an exceptional blend of hands-on technical mastery, proven leadership, and proficiency with modern job management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Leadership : Lead, supervise, and mentor on-site crews of Journeymen and Apprentices; assign daily tasks and verify the quality and efficiency of all installations and repairs.
Project Execution : Manage the daily / weekly labor plans, job schedules, and on-site operations for commercial projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget.
Technical Compliance : Read and interpret complex blueprints, plans, and electrical schematics. Ensure strict compliance with the NEC and all local Georgia codes ; manage punch lists and successfully pass inspections.
Safety & Training : Champion safety by planning and enforcing best practices, leading daily toolbox talks, and pre-job briefings to maintain a zero-incident worksite .
Material & Equipment Management : Coordinate material orders, track inventory, manage equipment staging, and coordinate vendor pickups to eliminate job delays.
System Documentation : Accurately enter time, materials, job notes, and photos into the Field Service Management (FSM) System, Service Fusion, on a daily basis.
Communication : Serve as the professional primary on-site liaison with customers, General Contractors (GCs), and Project Managers.
Financial Support : Assist Project Managers with scope clarifications, generating accurate estimates, and preparing change-order documentation as needed.
Required Qualifications
Licensure : Valid Electrician License ( Journeyman or Master ) in the State of Georgia (license number required upon application).
Experience : Minimum of 10+ years of total electrical experience with at least 5+ years in a supervisory / Foreman or Lead role, specifically on commercial projects.
Technical Expertise : Strong, current knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local Georgia electrical codes.
Troubleshooting : Expert ability to read complex blueprints and perform advanced electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
FSM Skills : Comfortable and proficient using smartphone / tablet technology for field documentation; prior experience with Service Fusion is a significant PLUS.
Compliance : Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
