We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Worcester, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and administrative functions who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced services environment. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations across payroll, invoicing, vendor management, and HR data maintenance.
Responsibilities :
- Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring all required documentation is completed and organized.
- Enter and track payroll timesheets with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare and manage invoices, ensuring timely processing and communication with clients.
- Set up and monitor vendor accounts, maintaining compliance with company standards.
- Conduct audits to verify the accuracy of financial and HR data.
- Maintain and update HR-related information in Excel, ensuring data integrity.
- Address general inquiries from staff and clients in a courteous and timely manner.
- Perform various administrative tasks to support accounting and HR functions as needed.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems including ADP, Ceridian, and Concur.
- Experience with ERP systems and a strong understanding of enterprise resource planning.
- Solid knowledge of accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Demonstrated experience in auditing and ensuring compliance with financial standards.
- Familiarity with billing processes and related functions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other data management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for responding to inquiries and coordinating with vendors.
