Job Description

Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of all warehouse and production equipment. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and completing repairs to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities :

Preventative Maintenance : Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.

Equipment Repair : Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production and warehouse equipment.

Breakdown Response : Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, minimizing downtime and production disruptions.

Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Inventory Management : Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs.

Documentation : Complete accurate and timely work orders, maintenance records, and reports.

Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.

Collaboration : Work closely with production and warehouse teams to address equipment issues and optimize operations.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance.

Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications :

Technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field.

Experience with [specific equipment or systems used in the warehouse / production environment].

Knowledge of PLC systems and automation.

Welding and fabrication skills.

Physical Demands :

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment.

Work Environment :

Warehouse / production environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
