GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for programming and nesting plasma tables, tube lasers, flat lasers, and press brakes using a mix of cad and cam software.
This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a
team. The programmer will maintain detailed documentation of all programming activities, including program files, setup sheets, and
tooling information to achieve production goals and product quality.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Develop and implement programs and nests for plasma table, tube laser, flat laser, and press brakes to meet production specifications.
- Experience with sheet metal and / or structural steel fabrication.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all programming activities, including program files, setup sheets, and tooling information.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any programming issues that arise during the production process.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements.
- Must have ability to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines.
- Must have good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with CAD and / or CAM software (Inventor, AutoCAD, Boost, OmniWIN).
- Basic knowledge of Global Shop or comparable ERP System.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Associate’s degree or technical certification in CNC programming, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred
