Job description?Board Certification or residency completion in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine required.?Current New York State License and certification. The emergency department currently has over 28,000 pediatric and adult patient visits annually; ?Current DEA registration certificate. ?ACLS and ATLS certification (or equivalent). Responsible for the medical evaluation, treatment initiation and coordination of a follow up treatment plan for Emergency Department patients. Provides high quality patient care in a caring and professional manner. Demonstrates flexibility in prioritizing patient and department needs. Maintains and demonstrates knowledge base in all areas of Emergency Medicine including knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan. Must have the ability to assess data reflective of the patients age and functional status and interpret each patients requirements relative to specific needs. Communicates effectively with staff, patients and families. Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
