Accounting Manager (Mergers And Acquisitions)
The successful Accounting Manager (Mergers and Acquisitions) will :
- Lead the accounting due diligence process for potential acquisitions, including reviewing consultant work and transaction documents.
- Manage the integration of newly acquired entities into the company's accounting and reporting processes.
- Coordinate purchase price allocations and prepare post-close opening balance sheet entries in compliance with ASC 805.
- Oversee monthly close and consolidation activities for newly acquired businesses during the integration period.
- Develop, document, and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls for acquired entities.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex issues, including business combinations, revenue recognition, investments, and compensation arrangements.
- Support the design and execution of post-merger integration plans, including Day 1 readiness and cross-functional coordination.
- Drive process improvements and standardize integration procedures across acquisitions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (finance, tax, legal, operations) to ensure effective on boarding and governance alignment.
- Assist with other accounting transformation projects and ad-hoc initiatives as needed.

The successful Accounting Manager (Mergers and Acquisitions) will :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (required).Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualified from a Big 4 or Top 10 public accounting firm6+ years of accounting experience.Experience in M&A, PMI (Post-Merger Integration), and due diligence.Strong background in technical accounting with expertise in US GAAP and exposure to IFRS.Hands-on experience with ASC 805 purchase price allocations and acquisition-related accounting.Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work 5 days per week in office (NYC).Willingness to travel 3-4 times per year.What's on offer :
