We are seeking a motivated Consulting Engineer to embark on a rewarding career in risk engineering. You will gain invaluable skills through mentorship and a collaborative work culture during the first 12 months. Our extensive training program includes a mix of field experience, self-study, classroom instruction, and mock factory training.

As part of our team of 1,900 loss prevention engineers, you will have the opportunity to leverage your engineering background and problem-solving skills to help clients identify and mitigate risks to their facilities and businesses from various perils such as fire, explosion, equipment breakdown, and floods.

Your primary responsibilities will include :

  • Conducting on-site assessments of client facilities, including touring interiors, roofs, and exteriors.
  • Evaluating available water supplies and fire protection measures, as well as electrical systems, dust hazards, chemical storage and processing, structural designs, construction materials, and emergency response programs.
  • Ensuring adherence to FM Engineering Standards and communicating relevant recommendations and engineering solutions to clients.
  • Assisting clients in implementing strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Working from a home office and traveling to client locations, with anticipated overnight travel of 3-5 nights per month (approximately 15-25%).

To be considered for the role of Consulting Engineer, candidates should possess :

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering (various specialties welcomed).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management abilities with the capacity to work independently.
  • Technical proficiency and a solid understanding of engineering principles.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, access roofs, lift up to 25 lbs, navigate confined spaces, and walk 2-3 miles daily.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Authorization to work in the location of application.
