Overview

With over 50 years of proven success, ECG, ranked as a Best Midsized Firm to Work For 2025 by Consulting Magazine, is the most experienced healthcare consulting firm in the U.S. Working exclusively in this space, our people prove—over and over again—their ability to solve challenges for providers and achieve better outcomes for patients. Across our eight office locations, we’re seeking individuals who will show the courage to find innovative solutions and make a direct impact on the delivery of healthcare services across our country.

What’s in It for You: Work with Purpose

At ECG, your contribution will have meaningful impact. The work you do will help health systems optimize performance and meet the needs of the communities they serve—and that’s just the beginning. We’re looking for team players, culture builders, problem-solvers, and self-starters to collaborate, take on challenging projects, and find new ways to make a positive impact in the healthcare services sector. ECG is committed to ensuring a supportive, inclusive, and equitable work environment that embraces DEI, where we recognize performance, communicate openly and transparently, and value work-life balance.

Join Our Health System Performance Division

ECG’s Health System Performance Division leads comprehensive performance improvement and clinical program optimization across the full continuum of care, supporting high-quality care while driving operational and financial results across all care settings.

We have identified and implemented hundreds of millions of dollars in improvement opportunities for health systems through a detailed, proven approach to performance transformation. Our team of experienced subject matter experts and former health system executives is heavily involved in project delivery and customizing our solutions to our clients’ overall strategy and market. We support our clients with proprietary diagnostic tools to target practical and sustainable improvements that drive revenue, reduce costs, and unlock growth. During the implementation phase of a transformation, we bring together experts from across key areas—including payer strategy, finance, clinical operations, labor, supply chain, patient access, and revenue cycle. Supported by dedicated delivery teams and implementation specialists, we ensure exceptional performance and accelerated growth tailored to our clients’ unique goals.

Your Opportunity with ECG: Healthcare Associate, Pharmacy Technician

As a healthcare associate at ECG, you’ll be an important part of our consulting team, working alongside the top professionals in the industry to come up with solutions that shape healthcare. Utilizing your knowledge of 340B, pharmacy operations (retail and specialty), and data analysis, you will be a core member of the consulting team assisting with health system performance improvement projects. As part of these projects, you will identify core operational issues, contribute to unique client-based solution assessments, and assist the client/ECG team with implementation of the project initiatives. Not only will you partner with some of the industry’s best to achieve your highest goals, but you will also make a real difference in people’s lives and grow personally and professionally while doing so. Here, no two days or projects are alike, which means you’ll have a lot to learn and plenty of support to help you succeed.

Your Responsibilities May Include

  • Supporting pharmacists and pharmacy leaders in pharmacy-related project work, including 340B optimization, retail and specialty pharmacy workflow design, and systemic process improvement implementations

  • Preparing reports, tracking action items, and supporting project timelines
  • Entering and maintaining medication data in analytics tools with a focus on project accuracy and testing
  • Assisting with inventory reviews and operational assessments as part of project efforts
  • Collaborating with pharmacists, analysts, and project managers to support pharmacy operations and transformation initiatives
  • Ensuring all project activities comply with pharmacy regulations and organizational policies

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • Active 340B ACE certification required
  • PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or NHA (National Healthcareer Association) certification required
  • 3+ years of experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings, 340B, and/or a supervisory role within a health system
  • Experience supporting pharmacy operations or improvement initiatives
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to support multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience working with EHRs and pharmacy systems, dispensing systems, automation, 340B accumulators, third-party administrators, etc.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

  • High-quality analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment as well as fully manage your own time and the overall project timeline
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required, with flexibility to meet client needs

Job Locations
