  • Job Summary : In this internship, you will engage in New Product Development engineering or Production Engineering, working closely with manufacturing to create robust processes and tooling that propel our growth in the industrial and aerospace investment casting markets. Your focus will include dimensional control and the tooling associated with producing investment castings.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain best practice investment casting procedures.
  • Construct dies, gages, and support tooling for cores, wax patterns, and castings.
  • Collaborate with tooling vendors and purchasing to ensure high-quality tools at competitive prices.
  • Analyze process yields using data analysis techniques, including statistical methods and Six Sigma.
  • Apply your working knowledge of GD&T and interpret customer drawings and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively to develop internal job instructions.
  • Implement cost-reduction initiatives and evaluate new process technologies.
  • Document procedures and work closely with departments to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Conduct audits of production lots to ensure adherence to established techniques.
  • Qualifications :

  • Pursuing a BS in Engineering, preferably in your junior or senior year. Experience in tooling, design, and CAD (preferably NX) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in PC applications and program management.
  • Basic knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on data-driven problem solving.
