Mechanic - Auto Tech

Power Automotive in Santa Clarita, CA, is currently seeking a skilled full-time Mechanic - Auto Tech to join our team. This full-time position offers competitive pay of $28 - $50 / hour based on experience, efficiency, and certifications. Bonuses are available as well , along with excellent perks , including uniforms and a monthly tool allowance of $100. You can also work on your personal car at our shop!

YOUR DAY AS A MECHANIC - AUTO TECH

In the role of Mechanic - Auto Tech, your day will involve a variety of tasks that are both engaging and purposeful. You will begin by diagnosing issues with incoming vehicles, recommending appropriate maintenance or repairs, and performing the necessary work, which may include adjustments to brakes, suspension, air conditioning systems, and engine components. After completing repairs, you will conduct test drives to ensure that each vehicle meets the rigorous quality standards expected at Power Automotive. Maintaining accurate documentation and keeping your workspace clean and organized are also essential aspects of your responsibilities. You will have the opportunity to further develop your skills by staying current with industry advancements, all while providing exceptional service to our valued customers.

YOUR SCHEDULE

The work schedule for this automotive position is Monday through Friday, from 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm , with the potential for Saturday shifts from 8 : 00 am to 3 : 00 pm.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in a professional shop, with independent and dealership experience
• Excellent diagnostic skills and mechanical ability on foreign and domestic vehicles
• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and transmission services
• Knowledge of electrical diagnostics, wiring diagrams, and proper use of scan tools
• Comfortable with engine and transmission R&R
• Your own basic tools and ability to maintain an organized workspace
• Strong work habits, showing up on time, and completing tasks thoroughly
• Ability to communicate clearly and work respectfully with customers and team members
• Team-player mentality and pride in delivering quality work

An ASE certification is a plus!
