Job descriptionWork in a hospital-based Medical Surgical unit with critical care responsibilities Night shifts of either 3 or 4 twelve-hour shifts per week (7 : 00 pm - 7 : 30 am), with every other weekend required Patient ratio of 1 : 4-6 Required to float as needed Open to blocked scheduling arrangements Unit has an average daily patient census of 0.2 per provider Uses CPSI EMR (no prior experience required) No scrubs provided; wine and / or burgundy scrubs are required Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to a varied adult patient population, including critical care Completion of facility modules is required prior to starting and will be monitored by compliance Orientation is provided every other Thursday Former permanent employees of the facility cannot return as travelers until 2 years after last employment date Current employees of related health systems are not eligible for this travel contract First-time travelers are eligible to apply Holiday coverage may be required based on schedule and needs Active WV or compact RN license (pending license accepted for consideration) Minimum of 1 year current Med / Surg or critical care RN experience required Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required Certification through American Heart Association required for BLS and ACLS Proficiency with conscious sedation, telemetry, and ventilator management required At least 2 professional references from manager or charge nurse roles within the past 2 years Minimum of 2 years total RN experience required Permanent address must be more than 100 miles from the facility (75-100 miles considered on a case-by-case basis) No previous disciplinary action on nursing license, or will be considered case-by-case High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
