  • Unit : Neuro Medical / Surgical Telemetry (22 beds)\n
  • Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM)\n
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks\n
  • Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week\n
  • Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and every other holiday\n
  • Float Requirement : May float to medical unit\n
  • Orientation : 12 hours\n
  • Start Date : September 29, 2025\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1950 - $2090\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Illinois RN license (Registered Nurse – Illinois)\n
  • Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience\n
  • At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment\n
  • Recent experience with EPIC electronic charting\n
  • Neuro nursing experience required\n
  • Certifications : AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS (all current)\n
  • Comfortable caring for medical overflow patients\n
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills\n
  • COVID-19 vaccine not required (subject to change)\n
  • Scrub color : Navy Blue\n
  • No local candidates (must reside outside a 40-mile radius of Marion, IL)\n

    • \n\nTravel RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to neuro and neuro-surgical patients, including CVAs, elective back / neck surgeries, cerebral angiogram, and general medical cases\n
  • Perform NIHSS and dysphagia screens; conduct thorough neuro assessments\n
  • Interpret basic telemetry and cardiac monitoring\n
  • Manage strict intake & output, straight caths, Foley catheters, NG tubes, and indwelling drains\n
  • Initiate and titrate heparin drips; administer blood products; perform venipuncture and blood cultures\n
  • Care for stable IV drips (e.g., Protonix, Lasix)\n
  • Adapt to floating between medical and surgical units as needed\n
  • Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare environment\n
