POSITION SUMMARY :

As an Emergency Response Medic, your mission is to provide compassionate and top-tier patient care by utilizing both basic and advanced medical skills. We strive to offer these services in a professional, caring, and cost-effective manner, demonstrating our commitment to excellence and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate each call situation to determine the best course of action in line with advanced Paramedic protocols.
  • Employ your skills with medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to deliver superior medical care.
  • Communicate with patients and their families, providing information and reassurance throughout the care process.
  • Lead the Paramedic team and manage scene operations as required.
  • Collaborate effectively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, along with fellow Paramedics.
  • Develop triage skills to ensure efficiency during emergency responses.
  • Deliver patient care in accordance with clinical protocols and safety protocols.
  • Assist in lifting and moving patients as necessary for optimal care.
  • Communicate vital information to receiving facilities to receive medical direction.
  • Drive the ambulance responsibly, utilizing navigation skills to minimize response time.
  • Maintain all required Paramedic certifications diligently.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers to understand call data and gather customer feedback.
  • Ensure the ambulance is clean, stocked, and well-maintained to present a professional image.
  • Document all activities related to patient care and billing accurately.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures diligently.
  • Adhere to information systems security policies and protocols.
  • Other Responsibilities :

  • Engage in community programs to uphold our organization's image and foster strong community relations.
  • Regularly meet and communicate with existing customers and staff (including skilled nursing, assisted living, and hospital facilities) to ensure that we are meeting their needs, reporting these interactions to the operations and / or account manager regularly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Required Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • National Registry Paramedic Certification.
  • Montana State Paramedic License within 60 days of hire.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, or PEPP.
  • Driving record compliant with safety policies.
  • Experience :

  • Prior experience in healthcare is preferred.
