Job Details
Our legal firm is seeking a Hybrid Litigation Paralegal who is passionate about the law, has a keen eye for detail, possesses excellent organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive litigation support to our attorneys, including legal research, drafting legal documents, and trial preparation. This position requires a strong understanding of the discovery process, legal compliance, and the use of legal case management software. The candidate must have excellent time management skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
2. Provide litigation support to attorneys, including drafting and reviewing legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
3. Manage electronic filing systems, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
4. Prepare for trials by organizing exhibits, assisting with witness preparation, and coordinating logistics.
5. Review and analyze documents during the discovery process, identifying relevant information and potential evidence.
6. Utilize legal case management software for efficient case tracking, calendaring, and document management.
7. Ensure legal compliance by staying updated on current laws, rulings, and regulations that may impact ongoing cases.
8. Assist attorneys with time management by maintaining organized case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating meetings and appointments.
9. Provide general legal assistance, including communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field.
2. Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved institution.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
4. Proficiency in legal research, drafting legal documents, and litigation support.
5. Experience with electronic filing systems and legal document preparation.
6. Familiarity with the discovery process and trial preparation.
7. Proficiency in using legal case management software.
8. A solid understanding of legal compliance.
9. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
11. Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
12. High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
