$40K start incentive, insurance on your first day, malpractice with tail, PSLF Program!The Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine division at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA, is seeking a board-certified / eligible physician with the desire to do advanced procedures, to enhance its growing Pulmonary Critical Care team. This full-time opportunity combines outpatient pulmonary care, inpatient pulmonary / critical care, and procedural time.Our team is expanding in response to increasing demand and system-wide growth in both critical care services as well an increased volume of procedures, tied to the new cancer center. We are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.This position offers the opportunity to engage with the Geisinger Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Fellowship, contributing to the education and mentorship of fellows rotating through our program.

Job Duties

Key Responsibilities :

• Support growth of bronchoscopy program, with the option of navigational bronchoscopy at our sister campus (Geisinger Community Medical Center)
• A typical month to promote work / life balance consists of no more than 2 weeks of inpatient service (1 week ICU, 1 week consults) and 1 weekend
• The remainder of the time is shared between PTO / CME, procedural time and outpatient clinic
• Typical clinic day consists of 6 hours of patient contact time and 2 hours of administrative discretionary time
• Provide state-of-the-art care for a broad range of conditions includinglung cancer, opportunistic infections, pleural disease and drug induced lung diseases, COPD, asthma, lung cancer and pulmonary hypertension
• Access to lung nodule program, home ventilation program, and pulmonary hypertension, advanced sarcoid clinic, interstitial lung disease and exceptional Sleep Medicine program
