Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Des Moines, Iowa (50309) – Iowa nursing jobs Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend / Holiday : Every 3rd weekend & holiday rotation if scheduled Setting : Labor & Delivery (L&D), with potential to float to Mother / Baby or Postpartum units Scrubs : Hospital provided Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2070 - $2220 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa Minimum 1.5 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a hospital setting Current certifications : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP At least one completed travel nurse contract in the past 12 months (no first-time travelers) Ability to float across all hospital campuses as needed Submission of work history / resume, skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, and required certifications One supervisory performance evaluation / reference from within the last 2 years Proof of taxable address (driver’s license, utility bill, lease, etc.) Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including high-risk OB, antepartum, c-sections, and vaginal deliveries Administer and monitor IV drips such as magnesium, insulin, and pitocin Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Accurately document patient care and interventions using EPIC EMR Float to Mother / Baby or Postpartum units as required Participate in charge nurse or preceptor duties as needed Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and their families Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Des Moines, Iowa!
