Immediate opening for a SOLO Part Time Non CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Shreveport, LA.

$595 or more per week - And it gets better.

Driver Positions Pay Weekly

Hourly Pay : $24.98 Per Hour

Health Stipend : $4.80 Per Hour

Hours Per Week : 20 - 25 Hours per Week

Paid Training

Schedule : Monday - Saturday

Start Time : 4 : 00 AM - 8 : 00 PM

Must have Straight Truck Experience

Deliver SOLO To : 25 mile radius from Shreveport

Route : Local Home Daily

Trailer Type : 26' Straight Trucks

Equipment : Rolling Carts & Lift Gates

Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful

Freight : Touch US Mail (Must be Registered for Military draft)

In addition to Ryder employment requirements, for employment on this account, the United States Postal Service (USPS) requires :

A secondary background screen - Federal Level 2 conducted by the USPS to allow access to premises and / or to provide contractual services

Selective Service registration for males born after December 31, 1959, unless there is a legal exemption

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age

Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience

Pass a Ryder Drug Test

Must have verifiable driving experience (

• must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck) :

6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR

2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR

5 years' experience within the last 10 years

Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Pass a DOT physical

Pass a Ryder road test

Must have a valid driver's license

Ability to follow written and / or oral instructions

Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and / or procedures

Important Note : Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and / or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.

Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and / or state laws, regulations, and / or agency rules, standards and guidelines

Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards

Maintaining accurate records Loading / Unloading freight or assisting in the loading / unloading of freight if required by customer

Other tasks as assigned
