Overview
Global Industrial is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our diverse creative team. The ideal candidate is a motivated and proactive individual who thrives in a deadline-driven environment, who is able to process, react to and design on demand in a team setting. The perfect candidate has a strong sense of aesthetics, an eye for detail, and the ability to create distinct designs. You will work with the team and design a variety of marketing materials including; catalogue pages, sell sheets and emails adhering to our value proposition and brand standards while helping drive the organization’s strategic priorities and other key objectives. This individual should be well versed with the Adobe suite of products and should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a dynamic team bringing our emails, marketing materials and brand to life
- Meet with Merchandising team to review goals & content for different projects, and give feedback on how you will influence the design
- Meet with Planning & Strategy team to review creative briefs in detail and decide how the design will to be approached, which template will be used, and if more is required
- Design all projects that maintain & highlight campaign goals, brand guidelines and core design principles to make sure content displays well and is engaging
- Present designs to Creative team leaders, Email Strategy team and design peers, walking them through the designs and providing rationale for design decisions made
- Take in feedback and / or constructive criticism and turn edits around quickly
- Review all designs, again, in weekly creative review with the possibility of further feedback and revisions
- Deploy designs to be coded
- Design new email and marketing templates as needed to accommodate new marketing initiatives
Qualifications
Graphic / Web Design skillsBachelor's degree, or its equivalent, and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related areaWorking knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite : Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and AcrobatStrong background in core design principles including; hierarchy, composition, & typographyExperience designing engaging emails with an understanding of the medium’s unique needs & how audiences interact with themHave an eye for clean and engaging designs that represents & reinforces the company’s brand and voiceWorking knowledge of HTML as it pertains to email designAbility to take in constructive feedback and turn around revisions quicklyDesign in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with othersWork on multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent spelling and proofreading skillsAbility to focus and meet deadlinesAbility to communicate with product expertsEffective oral & written communication skillsAbility to adopt new technology & SOPsCross-functional leadership / collaborationStrong customer focusData-driven decision makingIntegrityThe pay range for this position will be 63,000 to 76,000 annually. The exact pay will be determined by multiple factors unique to each individual, including years of experience, certifications, and the specific location of the job. Rates may vary in other areas due to differing labor costs.
