Role Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift and semi-truck mechanic to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of forklifts and semi trucks to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
A Sample of What You'll Do in This Role :
Inspect and service forklifts, semi-trucks, and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
Perform preventative maintenance and coordinate repair schedules with fleet managers.
Document all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities accurately.
Respond to equipment breakdowns, occasionally performing on-site or field repairs.
Follow all OSHA and DOT safety regulations while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance fleet reliability and performance.
What You'll Bring to the Role :
Proven experience in heavy equipment or truck maintenance (3+ years preferred).
Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems.
Ability to diagnose and repair complex issues using computerized diagnostic tools.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate service records.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver's license (CDL and ASE certifications preferred).

Compensation and Benefits :
The base compensation for this position ranges from $24.28 to $32.36 per hour. Please note that wages may vary depending on skills and experience.
