We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. You will also be responsible for supervising the accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with expertise in general ledger management and reconciliations to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to ensure proper financial documentation.
• Perform regular account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to maintain financial accuracy.
• Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Assist with the month-end close process, including preparing necessary financial reports.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to established accounting principles and company policies.
• Utilize Abila MIP software for financial management tasks and reporting.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Proven experience as a senior accountant or in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with Abila MIP Fund Accounting software is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in month-end close processes and financial analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
