VHS is looking for a qualified Physician - Pathology.

Contract Length : 3 to 6 months

Shift Details : Monday – Friday plus call coverage 1 week every 7 weeks

Schedule : 8 – 5

Call Details : Usually calls are very reasonable may need to do a late frozen section after 5 blood bank calls are easy to handle typically for approvals of units or just informational about MTP initiation...

Work Details :

Support staff : 6 other docs

Amount of coverage needed per month : Full-time coverage needed

Patients per day : 20-30 cases of pathology per day. The mix includes some large cases mastectomy colectomy prostatectomy ... medium cases breast biopsies prostate biopsies G.I. biopsies.... and small cases gallbladder appendix hernia sacs lipoma....

Special procedures :

Skills required : Clinical responsibilities include general surgical pathology sign out rapid on-site evaluation ROSE procedures for specimen adequacy and tissue allocation non-gyn cytology clinical pathology and participation in cancer conferences tumor boards hospital and lab committees at our acute care hospitals. The candidate will have the opportunity to practice digital pathology at all practice locations. Participation in on-call coverage across the system hospitals is required call is for a week at a time every seven weeks.

Certifications preferred : Genitourinary subspeciality preferred but not required.

Certifications required : BLS ACLS

Minimum experience required :

Shift Info : Day 5x9-Hour 07 : 00 - 17 : 00

1099 Pay Rate : Competitive Market Rates (W-2 Pay Packages available upon request)
