Position Summary
The Procurement Manager will lead our procurement team and be responsible for the end-to-end purchasing process, from sourcing and contract negotiation to inventory management and supplier relations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach who can identify cost-saving opportunities, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and manage a small team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing procurement, a deep understanding of tooling and raw materials, and a proven track record of successful negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for tooling, raw materials, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies.
Monitor and manage stock levels to optimize inventory turns and prevent shortages or excess.
Supervise and mentor a small team of procurement specialists or buyers.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and streamline processes.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
