CFD Modeling Engineer

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities. We are seeking a computational fluid dynamic (CFD) modeling engineer to support the growth of our team.

Responsibilities

Develop and run CFD models of water and wastewater treatment components and conveyance infrastructure

Develop sub-models of chemical reactions and biological process

Work on engineering planning and design projects

Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables

Data entry and analysis

Qualifications

Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or higher

0 to 5 years of directly relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering

Engineer-in-Training Certification

Experience with CFD modeling software packages (Ansys products, OpenFOAM, Star-CCM+, Flow-3D, or similar)

Knowledge of numerical modeling and methods

Strong interest in water and / or wastewater process

Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Work well in both in person and virtual team environments

Have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team

Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting

Proficient in MS office products

Preferred Qualifications

Free surface / open channel hydraulics

Multiphase flows

Wastewater process models such as ASM variant's or ADM1

Water disinfection kinetics, chlorine, ozone, UV

Pay Range

$90,000 to $130,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
