Job description

Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician Student to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday - Friday, Days / Evenings rotating shifts. Some Weekends.

Pharmacy Technician Student J ob Responsibilities :

Completes the didactic modules of the Pharmacy Technician Training program at the pace set by the director of the program with a passing grade on each module.

Asks for assistance if a concept or module is difficult to complete and more assistance is needed.

If the maximum number of attempts at a unit test are exceeded, students must ask for remediation of the subject and director of program can authorize additional attempts once the remediation is completed.

Modules include Basic Pharmaceutics, Basic Anatomy and Physiology, Vaccines, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Operations, Billing, Special Medication Handling, Inventory Control, Emergency Preparedness, Sterile and non-sterile compounding, Unit-dose packaging, Communication and Calculations.

Completes simulations as required.

Completes experiential modules at the sites assigned and requirements of each site must be met.

Attends regular check ins with program director.

Completes and passes final review test with passing score.

Minimum Requirements :

Education : High School or GED.
