Clinical Research Project Manager A

The responsibilities of this position will be to provide assistance and oversight with single-center and multi-center clinical research trials conducted within the Cardiovascular Medicine Division of the University of Pennsylvania. This position will support specific specialty sections in Cardiology and will require coordinating efforts within the Division with collaborating sites and external institutions. The project manager will interface with multiple investigators (internal & external), and will work closely with the Faculty Director. The responsibilities for the position include : manage start-up activities including but not limited to feasibility assessments, budgeting, and PennChart research alert development; oversee / develop study materials, specifically informed consent documents, protocol materials, SOPs, meeting materials and project updates for regulatory requirements; assist with database development and quality control reports; streamline and oversee day-to-day operations; troubleshoot challenges with collaborators and stakeholders; monitor study progress and identify means to meet study recruitment and retention goals; recruiting, training, and supervising full and part-time research staff; monitor studies for regulatory compliance and risk reduction; serve as a back-up for traditional CRC activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage single and multi-site clinical trials (including study start up, daily operations, external site communications (including DSMB members) and troubleshooting, recruitment and enrollment; QA& QC; SOP development; study close out activities). Prepare and submit regulatory documents to the IRB.
  • Manage multi-site research databases. Provide reports to Faculty Director of clinical research program.
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising full and part-time research staff;
  • Serve as back up CRC / PM as needed; assist in completion of cardiovascular testing where qualified and in lab processing
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Job Location - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

    Department / School - Perelman School of Medicine

    Pay Range - $62,000.00 - $71,000.00 Annual Rate

    Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level. Internal organization and peer data at Penn are also considered.
