About The Position We are seeking a Hematologist / Oncologist for a 22-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 1, 2025. This role features a Monday through Thursday schedule, 7 : 30AM to 5 : 30PM with night call, followed by 24-hour remote call coverage Friday through Sunday. The assignment involves comprehensive care for hematology and oncology patients in both clinic and infusion center settings. Job Details Location : California Start Date : Dec 1, 2025 LOA : 22 days Provider Type Needed : Hematologist / Oncologist Schedule : Monday-Thursday 7 : 30AM-5 : 30PM with night call, 24-hour remote call coverage Friday-Sunday Responsibilities and Duties Oversee all aspects of diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment of hematology and oncology patients Provide MD oversight for both the oncology / hematology clinic and infusion services Remain onsite at the infusion center for all treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions, hormone therapy, antibiotic therapy, rheumatoid arthritis injections, and therapeutic phlebotomies Additional Information Board Certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology preferred; Board Eligible considered Will consider candidates boarded in either Oncology or Hematology Active California state license required Medical Oncology Fellowship required CA DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications required Malpractice insurance highly preferred Availability at time of name clear required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
