As a Travel Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing mammograms to assist in the detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging and patient care. Your typical day will involve preparing patients for procedures, operating mammography equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. You will also be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and documenting patient information accurately.
To qualify for this position, you must have a valid Mammography ARRT certification and at least 2 years of experience in mammography. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and familiarity with mammography safety protocols are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are also required.
