Job description

Pride Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist to support our client's medical facility in Springfield, MA . This is a 14-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Position : Surgical Technologist
Location : Springfield, MA
Shift : Days : 4x10 days
Contract : 14 weeks
Weekly Gross : $2300

Job Summary :

Baystate Health is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join its Level I Trauma Center . This role involves supporting a variety of surgical specialties including Orthopedic (Total Joint), Neuro, Robotic, Trauma, and Thoracic procedures within a high-acuity inpatient operating room. Candidates with CVOR experience or the ability to scrub are highly preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities :

Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instruments for various specialties including trauma and thoracic cases

Assist surgeons and OR teams during complex and robotic-assisted procedures

Support general and CVOR surgeries, including open cardiac and vascular / endovascular cases

Ensure infection control standards, proper documentation, and patient safety

Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment

Education & Certification :

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program

CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) required

BLS (AHA only) required

Skills & Experience :

Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level I Trauma hospital required

Strong background in Ortho (Total Joint), Neuro, Robotics, Trauma, and Thoracic surgeries

Experience in open cardiac, vascular, and endovascular cases preferred

Ability to scrub is a plus

Excellent knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instruments, and OR procedures

Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills

Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
