iDEAL Hire is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Bloomington, Indiana.

Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location : Bloomington, IN

Schedule / Job Type : Full-time, Days shift, 5 days per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide perioperative patient care across surgical specialties in a 13-room OR setting with two DaVinci Xi robots.
  • Assist in various procedures including Neuro, Orthopedics, Urology, Endoscopy / Laparoscopy, Podiatry, Vascular, Thoracic, Plastics, and ENT.
  • Maintain sterile scrubbing duties and ensure adherence to safety protocols during surgeries.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams, including cross-unit support as needed, and float within scope across the hospital.
  • Cover required rotations, including major holidays, with on-call duties and potential weekend shifts.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Active IN-state RN license prior to start date (no temporary licenses).
  • Minimum of 18 months of perioperative RN experience, with specific unit experience preferred.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Experience in Neuro and Orthopedics (3-4 surgeries), plus General, Urology, Endo / Laparoscopic, Podiatry.
  • Ability to work with scrub duties in a fast-paced, multi-specialty surgical environment.
  • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

    • Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with Robotics, Vascular, Thoracic, Plastics, ENT units.
  • Knowledge of Cerner charting system.
  • Comfortable floating within hospital units to meet patient and hospital needs.
