In this role, you'll have the opportunity to :

  • Core Reconciliation & Risk Management : Own a variety of critical trade and position reconciliations, proactively escalating to various upstream teams such as settlements, corporate actions, trade desk, securities lending to resolve discrepancies and mitigate risk
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with a cross-functional Operational team, ensuring accuracy of our books of record
  • Settlement & Clearance Expertise : Cultivate a deep knowledge on the settlement and clearance of equities through CDS and DTC
  • Process Evolution & Adaptability : Adapt to our evolving service and build process to support the evolution of the team
  • Technical Analysis & Optimization : Utilize SQL, Data and other AI tooling to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions that improve the efficiency of our back office operation teams

What you'll bring :

  • Previous working experience at a broker-dealer handling back office reconciliation responsibilities for options, securities operations and securities lending programs (IIROC-regulated dealer is preferred). Bonus points for working with precious metals!
  • Strong experience with Excel / Google Sheets, plus a familiarity with programming (SQL, Appscript / Javascript)
  • You're passionate about the fintech and alternative investment space, always curious to dig into day-to-day issues and find smart solutions.
  • You're a detail-oriented problem-solver who thrives under pressure, expertly managing multiple time-sensitive tasks while quickly adapting to challenges in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • You excel at communication and collaboration, working effectively with cross-functional teams and partners.
  • Have completed or are pursuing industry courses (CSC, DFOL etc)
