Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our engineering organization. This role will be responsible for guiding technical strategy, managing and mentoring engineering teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate has a strong background in SaaS product development, proven leadership experience, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and drive engineering vision, strategy, and execution in alignment with Flowhub’s business goals.
  • Partner with the CTO, Product, and Design to set long-term product and technology roadmaps.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the engineering org.

Team Management & Growth

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineering managers and senior engineers.
  • Scale the engineering team by attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent.
  • Establish career development frameworks, performance evaluations, and coaching practices.

    • Execution & Delivery

  • Ensure delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure SaaS solutions.
  • Oversee sprint planning, resource allocation, and project prioritization.
  • Maintain a high bar for software quality, testing, and documentation.

    • Technical Excellence

  • Champion modern engineering practices, DevOps principles, and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Guide architecture decisions and evaluate emerging technologies for potential adoption.
  • Drive process improvements to increase team efficiency and product velocity.

    • Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing engineering teams (50+ engineers across multiple teams is a plus).
  • Strong technical background in SaaS, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and modern software development practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (compliance, retail, fintech, or cannabis) is highly desirable.
