About The Position

Job Title : Cath Lab Tech

Must-Have :

First-time applicants accepted with a minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience in scrubbing and monitoring.

Description :

Position specialty is Cath Lab Tech.

The shift is from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM, four days per week.

Weekend call is required approximately every 4th to 5th weekend.

On-call responsibilities involve approximately one day per week and every 4th to 5th weekend.

Experience required includes diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings.

Specific procedures include cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, and IABP placement / removal.

Skills necessary include accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, and the ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.

The role also involves maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing procedures.

Experience with vascular closure systems, performing left and right heart catheterizations, and interpreting dysrhythmias is required.

Must be comfortable floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed.

This position operates within a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching facility.

The environment supports the care of adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Candidates must provide proof of certifications and references by submission.
