Quality Assurance Manager - Putnam, CT
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position involves conducting quality audits, utilizing precision measuring instruments, and maintaining industry compliance standards. The Quality Assurance Manager will work closely with production teams to identify areas for development, improvement and ensure adherence to quality management systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular quality audits to assess compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and coordinate measuring machines to perform inspections on products.
- Collect and analyze data related to product quality, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure all processes align with standards and maintain documentation of quality control activities.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions based on inspection findings.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of quality systems to enhance overall product reliability.
Essential Skills
QA experience in a manufacturing environment.Thorough understanding of part measuring techniques and equipment.Quality data analysis experience supporting quality metrics, trends, and reporting.Supervisory experience.Can-do attitude, not afraid of hands-on tasks on the shop floor.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control roles within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of quality audits and quality management principles.Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and coordinate measuring machines.Familiarity with data collection techniques and analysis methods related to product quality.Experience with software for inspection and reporting is preferred.Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members across departments.Work Environment
This position will have one direct report (QA tech) with anticipation for department growth. The work environment encourages a collaborative approach, with opportunities to build a department within a growing company.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $59.00 / hr.
