Responsibilities :
- Process weekly payroll for approximately 1,200 employees, including both salaried and hourly workers.
- Set up new employees in the payroll system and ensure accurate tax configurations.
- Handle garnishments and other payroll-related administrative tasks with precision.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure smooth payroll operations without overlapping benefits-related responsibilities.
- Review and validate employee timecards to ensure accurate payment.
- Maintain compliance with multi-state payroll regulations and prevailing wage requirements.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Adapt to evolving responsibilities while maintaining focus on assigned tasks and adhering to instructions.
- Work onsite to process payroll efficiently and meet weekly deadlines.
- Proven experience in processing high-volume payroll, ideally for 1,000+ employees.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and tax compliance.
- Familiarity with handling garnishments and prevailing wage requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex administrative tasks.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with HR and resolving employee inquiries.
- Ability to work independently while following instructions and adhering to deadlines.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and tools, with demonstrated technical aptitude.
- Comfortable working onsite in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
