Medical Biller Job Description :
This position is Full Time, M-F 9AM-5PM. The role is in-person, but could transition to hybrid once the employee is comfortable with the EHR and office flow. Training will occur in South Jordan, then the biller will be located in Lehi once fully trained. Biller MUST be located in Utah and have the ability to be in office.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently submitting medical claims to insurance companies for reimbursement, tracking and managing denials, and managing CPT interfacing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Reviewing and verifying patient information, procedures and diagnosis codes for accuracy and completeness
- Ensuring all necessary documentation and information is included in each claim submission
- Following up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmitting as necessary
- Communicating with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues
- Maintaining updated knowledge of insurance procedures, regulations, and coding guidelines
- Processing payments, refunds, and adjustments as needed
- Ensuring compliance with billing and coding regulations
- Notifying patients of past due balances.
Requirements :
Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role, at least 5 years.Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health records systemsStrong knowledge of medical billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)Excellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environmentCertification in Medical Billing and Coding preferredIf you are a skilled Medical Biller with a passion for accuracy and efficiency, we would love to hear from you.
