As a Principal Software Engineer on the Common Simulation Environment (CSE) team you will be part of nearly every Military Avionics & Helicopters development program working on the next generation of simulation environments for our products where development takes place in a collaborative teamwork this role you will be part of a fast-paced environment that pushes the frontiers of avionics and flight deck solutions for fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.

What You Will Do :

• Design develop and test applications to simulate the behavior of avionics sensors to support the development and testing of Collins Avionics products.
• Aid the development team in the debugging of laboratory issues to determine root cause and propose potential solutions to the discovered problems.
• Effectively interacts and networks with teammates management and customers.
• Support the Program Lead(s) with budget and schedule data for the CSE work on a given program to help ensure the successful completion of a Collins Avionics program.
• Work with a team of dedicated engineers to help shape the future of the avionics simulation platform.
• 5-10% travel as needed.

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD - 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education / training and key skills.
