Our Powertrain Operations facility, located on Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls, WI, is where the "jewel" of the motorcycle comes to life. Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plant in York, Pennsylvania, as well as transmissions, and replacement parts for sale through Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. Job Summary

This position will lead Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) sourcing, contracting, and strategy for all US manufacturing sites in coordination with international manufacturing and support manufacturing-related indirect categories for the Harley-Davidson Powertrain Operations facility in Menomonee Falls, WI.

Job Responsibilities

Category Management & Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of category plans and global sourcing strategies, leveraging industry trends and spend analytics.
  • Align procurement goals with business objectives and operational needs

Cost & Performance Management

  • Ensure cost-effective buying channels & strategies are in place for assigned spend categories
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on savings, efficiencies, and supplier performance.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial metrics for assigned categories.
  • Risk Management

  • Mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans in conjunction with an integrated supply base.
  • Ensure compliance with plant safety, quality, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Sourcing & Contracting

  • Lead sourcing events (RFI, RFP, RFQ), including bid evaluation, supplier selection, and award recommendations.
  • Negotiate complex contracts and statements of work (SOW) in collaboration with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to company policies
  • Supplier Relationship Management

  • Provide daily oversight and leadership to on-site MRO integrator teams; escalation point for critical issues
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBR) with strategic suppliers to assess performance, address issues, and align future goals & initiatives
  • Communication & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build & maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to proactively identify needs, resolve issues, and improve service levels
  • Partner with the plant maintenance and reliability team to forecast MRO needs and ensure timely procurement of critical spare parts
  • Process Improvement

  • Indirect procurement process ownership and implementation of best practices
  • Leverage digital tools, procurement systems, and innovative inventory management techniques (e.g. SAP, Ariba)
  • Education Requirements

    High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

    Education Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field
  • MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience Requirements

    Required

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Exposure to a global supply base
  • Experience with SAP ERP (indirect purchasing)
  • Proven track record of being a strong problem solver, an effective communicator, managing multiple tasks, and a demonstrated leader
  • Skills

  • Works independently, requiring guidance on only the most complex situations
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.
