Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Albany, Georgia (Zip : 31701) Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Medical / Surgical Unit Employment Type : Travel Nurse Contract Start Date : December 15, 2025 End Date : April 13, 2026 Contract Duration : 17 weeks Nursing Shifts : 12 Hour Days (6 : 45 AM start) Guaranteed Hours : 48 hours per week Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Floating : Required to Ortho / Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units Scrub Color : Caribbean Blue Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Georgia or compact state) – required for travel nursing jobs in Georgia Minimum 2 years of recent Medical / Surgical nursing experience and 1 prior travel nurse assignment OR 4 years of recent Med / Surg experience without travel BLS certification – required ASLS or NIHSS certification – preferred Experience with Meditech EMR – preferred Ability to float between units and adapt to changing assignments Strong communication and teamwork skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in the Medical / Surgical unit Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Meditech EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including CNA, RT, pharmacy, and physicians Float to Ortho / Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units as needed Participate in rotating holiday and weekend schedules Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment Discover why Albany, GA is a top choice for travel nursing jobs and healthcare professionals.
