About Mission Hospital :

Mission Hospital is a flagship hospital of Mission Health, licensed for 815 beds. Recognized nationally for excellence, it holds Magnet designation, top rankings from Healthgrades, and an A rating from Leapfrog for hospital safety. The hospital is the region’s referral center for Level II trauma, comprehensive stroke care, and Level III neonatal intensive care, as well as the only open heart and interventional cardiology programs in the area.

Unit Information – Central Pharmacy :

  • Staff : 34 pharmacists (day), 3 pharmacists (night), 150 total staff
  • Equipment : Talyst Machine, Pyxis, LAFW, CAI, EMR – Cerner, Vigilanz
  • Patient care : Pediatric and adult pharmaceutical services
  • Typical procedures : Order verification, product checking / distribution, answering clinical questions
  • Requirements :

  • Licensure : RPh in North Carolina (required)
  • Hospital experience, including overseeing technician staff
  • Experience in pediatric and adult pharmaceutical care
  • ACLS certification preferred if covering ED
  • Experience with Cerner and Vigilanz a plus
  • Skills & Personality Fit :

  • Able to handle high-stress environments
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Additional Information :

  • Dress code : Forest green scrubs or black bottoms; business casual also allowed
  • Work schedule : 7 on / 7 off rotation, including weekends
  • Floating : As required within the hospital
