Description : Job Summary :
The Welder is responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components according to technical specifications and quality standards. Using welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding. This position ensures strong, precise, and high-quality welds that meet production requirements. The ideal candidate is skilled in reading blueprints, problem-solving, and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks using MIG, TIG, or other welding techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Prepare and clean metal surfaces for welding
- Operate welding machines, hand tools, and measuring instruments to ensure precise and high-quality welds
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring proper function and cleanliness
- Follow all company safety protocols and participate in regular safety training
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
- Assist in other metal fabrication tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
Qualifications & Skills :
High school diploma or equivalent required; AWS welding certification or technical training preferredProven experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing or production environmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsExperience using hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and welding equipmentPhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periodsUnderstanding of and commitment to workplace safety regulations and proceduresWork Environment & Conditions :
The Welder works in a production environment with exposure to heat, sparks, and welding fumes. Requires extended periods of standing, bending, and manual labor. Heavy lifting, maneuvering metal components, and handling tools are part of daily tasks. PPE including welding helmets, gloves, fire-resistant clothing, steel-toed footwear, and safety glasses, must be worn in designated areas.
