Operating Room RN in Cary, NC

A Registered Nurse with operating room expertise is needed to deliver high-quality perioperative care in a dynamic surgical setting. This role involves supporting orthopedic, spine, gynecological, general, and robotic procedures, requiring familiarity with these specialties and proficiency in Epic charting.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current NC or Compact RN license
• AHA BLS certification
• 3-5 years of OR experience with orthopedic, spine, gynecological, general, and robotic cases
• Proficient with Epic electronic health records (strongly preferred)
• Resilience and adaptability to manage change effectively
• Strong work ethic and teamwork skills
• Experience with travel nursing is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and effective perioperative nursing care during orthopedic, spine, gynecological, general, and robotic surgeries
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with specialized surgical equipment
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Participate in weekend call assignments, contributing up to 50 hours over a 6-week schedule

Schedule:

• 12-hour variable shifts
• Weekend and holiday call required
• 36 or 40 hours per week contracts available
• Orientation week hours may vary

Additional Details:

• Contract length: 13 weeks with a start date ASAP
• COVID-19 vaccination with booster required unless exempt
• No radius requirement; competitive rates apply equally to local and travel contracts
