Overview
Part-Time Faculty-Clinical Rite Care Center Communication Disorders. The Department of Clinical Sciences is now accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty to provide clinical instruction for the 2025-2026 academic year. These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis.
Responsibilities
- Be a valued member of the collaborative clinical education team within the university clinic, the RiteCare Center for Communication Disorders.
- Provide individual and group supervision in the areas of intervention and assessment as appropriate to qualifications.
- Meet weekly with graduate clinicians for didactic and client-specific supervision.
- Monitor and provide feedback for clinical sessions, review recordings of service delivery sessions, and oversee the completion of clinical reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Demonstrate the ability and desire to work collaboratively on an established faculty team.
- Demonstrate supervision experience and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches for pediatric, adult, and family populations.
- Typically hold a one-semester / minimester appointment.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Communication Sciences and DisordersWillingness to engage with institutional student success initiativesCommitment to best practices in instruction, mentoring, and curriculum design and developmentCurrent certification of clinical competence from ASHALicensed or license-eligible to practice in the state of GeorgiaExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsCompletion of necessary Continuing Education courses for clinical supervisionAbility to work with a variety of cultural and linguistic populationsProficiency with computers and web-based technologyCertified in BLS as a healthcare providerPreferred Qualifications
Prior teaching experiencePrior supervision experiencePrior experience teaching in baccalaureate and graduate Education in Communication Sciences and DisordersEvidence of effective teaching and clinical supervisionEvidence of commitment to supporting and teaching a variety of studentsEvidence of working with diverse populationsRecord of approved continuing education in supervision and / or clinical administrationClinical expertise in specified areas as relevantProposed Salary
Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
