The Sales Account Manager is responsible for business growth in current and emerging markets. This will include DOE, DOD, radiopharmaceuticals, Nuclear Power (NP), nuclear waste management, local heavy industry, engineering firms, and municipal clients. The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for :
Developing and executing business development strategies, account plans, and sales forecastsIdentifying, qualifying, and pursuing new sales opportunities within prime contractors, subcontractors, and designated market sector clientsManaging and expanding existing client accounts through proactive relationship management and solution-oriented sellingRepresenting GEL at related conferences, workshops, and industry meetingsMeeting or exceeding annual revenue and account growth targets (book of business starting in the $2M - $4M range with growth potential of over $10M)Serving as a subject matter liaison between clients and GEL project management, laboratory operations, and technical staffLeading proposal preparation, RFP responses, and pricing strategy in coordination with our Proposal and Contracts GroupTracking federal contract vehicles, procurement forecasts, and budget priorities to align GEL services with market opportunitiesWhat We Offer :

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, engineering, business, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years' experience in sales, account management, business development or project management in the environmental testing, radiopharmaceutical, engineering, nuclear industry, laboratory analysis, or federal contracting spaceDemonstrated success in growing revenue and managing key accounts in complex government marketsStrong knowledge of federal organizations, contractors, procurement cycles, and compliance requirementsExceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsAbility to develop long-term relationships with technical and procurement professionalsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM softwareAnticipated to travel overnight at least 25% of the monthKnowledge Requirements for a Sales Account Manager :
Working knowledge of environmental testing services (chemistry, radiochemistry, bioassay, and related analytical methods)Understanding of federal contracting regulations (FAR, acquisition regulations)Ability to analyze RFPs and prepare competitive proposalsSkilled in financial analysis of pricing and contract termsPhysical Requirements and Working Environment :
Work is performed in an office, conference, and client-site setting with occasional laboratory exposure. Travel to client sites, contractor facilities, and industry events is required.
