American Traveler seeks a skilled RN with at least 1.5 years PICU experience, holding a NM or compact license, for a pediatric intensive care contract.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Pediatric ICU of a Level I Trauma and Children's Teaching HospitalCare for pediatric patients with diagnoses such as respiratory failure, renal failure, trauma, CRRT, ECMO, heme / onc, multi-system organ failure, and suicide attemptsNurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2Required to work rotating 12-hour shifts including days and nights; must be available for either shift during the contractExpected to work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts per weekRequired to work 4 weekend shifts per schedule for days and 4-5 for nightsFloating required to NICU and as a resource in the Peds ED (no primary assignment)No on-call responsibilitiesCerner EMR system usedPerform advanced pediatric critical care, including support with CRRT, ECMO, and ventsWork as part of an interdisciplinary care team in a busy teaching hospital environmentBlack scrubs required (not provided)Drug screening and compliance modules must be completed prior to startNo RQI certifications acceptedReligious or medical exemption form required for COVID-19 vaccine exceptionsTime off requests over 7 days require approval; only one holiday bundle may be requestedPerm employees may return as travelers if separated from system for at least 12 monthsFree parking provided\n \n Requirements\n
