Bob’s Discount Furniture, a fast-growing furniture retailer located in Manchester, CT, is seeking a Senior Analyst of FP&A with a focus on Store and Customer Service Operational Optimization. The successful candidate will play a vital role in analyzing the performance of operations and identifying areas of opportunity to drive operational excellence. The candidate will summarize current achievements ensuring all stakeholders understand results, variances, and trends. In addition, the candidate will develop and manage an annual budget and accurate monthly forecasts that will result in operational excellence while being fiscally responsible. The candidate must be detailed oriented, be able to think critically, have strong communication skills, be able to work on tight deadlines, and be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Job Responsibilities
Review monthly P&L detail prior to close ensuring that financial statements accurately reflect resultsAnalyze and interpret monthly financial results for stores, customer service and related departmentsSummarize and present monthly P&L results to the stores and customer service leadership teamsBuild an annual budget and monthly forecasts in collaboration with store and customer service leaders for all general and administrative expensesAnalyze expense trends and identify any risks or opportunities anticipated in future periodsUnderstand expense changes needed to meet the needs of the business and identify mitigation strategies to avoid budget or forecast impactsRespond to miscellaneous ad hoc requestsVariance analysis as neededRequired Competencies
