Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior MMIC Designer to develop state-of-the-art GaN and GaAs MMICs for high-power amplifiers, hybrid modules, and advanced RF / microwave subsystems. This role includes integration of MMICs into modules and enhancing the company's hybrid RF / microwave designs. The Senior MMIC Designer will lead designs from concept through production, contribute to the product roadmap, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with customers, marketing, program management, manufacturing, and senior leadership. Candidates must demonstrate deep technical expertise, a strong foundation in RF / microwave circuit design, and a passion for innovation. This role requires building fundamental building blocks and design methodologies for MMIC product development while meeting aggressive time-to-market schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design, simulation, layout, and validation of advanced GaN and GaAs MMIC products, with a focus on high-power amplifiers operating at RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave frequencies.
• Define MMIC specifications based on system-level customer requirements and trade-off analyses.
• Utilize industry-standard simulation tools (ADS, Cadence AWR, HFSS, Sonnet, AXIEM) for linear, nonlinear, and electromagnetic analysis.
• Support laboratory validation, including S-parameters, output power, efficiency, load-pull, noise figure, and linearity measurements.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior designers and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development cycle (program management, mechanical, manufacturing, sales, quality, leadership).
• Assist in proposal efforts, system architecture studies, and internal R&D planning activities.
• Ensure timely project execution while contributing to continuous process improvements and design best practices.
• Document design activities, development processes, and design reviews in accordance with company and industry standards.
