Job Purpose and Impact

The Director of Application and Cloud Security will spearhead the strategic design, implementation, and oversight of security processes across development, security, and operations in both software as a service and multi-cloud environments. This role is pivotal in safeguarding enterprise-wide cyber systems, data integrity, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Accountabilities

  • Security Frameworks : Drive the design and implementation of security tools and processes to enhance the organization's security posture.
  • Security Controls : Oversee the establishment and operation of security controls for applications and data across cloud environments, ensuring communication and adherence to policies.
  • Data Protection : Lead initiatives for data lineage, protection, and control to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Cybersecurity Measures : Guide efforts to safeguard enterprise applications and prepare for potential cybersecurity risks.
  • Performance Monitoring : Evaluate the effectiveness of security measures, identify compliance gaps, and propose strategic improvements.
  • Data Privacy Functions : Collaborate with data privacy functions during incidents to mitigate risks and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Quality Assurance Testing : Direct quality assurance testing and facilitate continuous enhancements to security processes.
  • Performance Metrics : Oversee the development and communication of metrics related to security performance, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Collaboration : Foster partnerships with cybersecurity peers, data privacy teams, and external experts to optimize data protection.
  • Team Management : Lead and develop team members to achieve organizational goals, promote a culture of feedback, accountability, and support employee growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, preferably reflecting 10 years or more in related roles.
